Question
My bird bloo, is sooo attached to me. We are like....well sisters! She plays with everything in her cage, but she doesn't even touch her cuttle bone I don't know why? My friend has a parakeet, and he chews on the bone. But bloo doesn't even look at it! and her beak is growing!!!

Answer
Hi, Hannah.  Thanks for posting!

Cuttlebone isn't used for keeping a bird's beak trimmed down.  Cuttlebone is supplemental calcium.  If a bird doesn't need calcium, the bird won't chew on the cuttlebone!  Cuttlebone is soft, therefore, doesn't work at keeping the beak trimmed.  You'll need to get another type of product specifically for helping to keep the beak trimmed down (readily found in pet shops that carry bird supplies).
