bring a new budgie home

i have a male budgie from one year witch is a littile agrassive  i brouth for him a female with a  new cage and nest i join them together     but the result was...the male would not stop following the female all around the cage for hufe hour till i seperate them because i foind the female very tierd of bieg chased by the male who try to beet here some how with his  peck          ....does that mean that they cant stay together  ?                        and the werd thing is when i separate them they keep wesling and shouting to each other from one room to another                         i need an answer plz about this sitution...thnx

hello Omar! Agression from the female is normal. Your male is trying to display his mating ritual with is constently following the female around cooing at her. She will show her feelings by preening him or giving him a little peck at. This is normal. House the two together regardless. The male will calm down eventuly. he is just very excited about a new friend! The female can more than fend for herself, this is how parakeets comunicate with eachother.
