Healthy Budgie??!!

Question

My female bird's vent. Is my female parakeet healthy? She looks like she's going to lay another egg, but I'm not sure. She has laid A LOT of eggs in the past year, none successful. She laid about 5 batches, 4 eggs per batch. Right now she's very fluffy all the time, sits on the bottom of her cage. Her mate feeds her occasionally but she looks sick. I'm especially worried about the area around her vent. It's very dry and has poop droppings on it (look at picture attached). We tried cleaning it with a little bit of water but that didn't work. Is it infected or is there something wrong with her??? She doesn't look or act very healthy.

She is possibly egg bound or has some other illness. I wish I could look at a picture and diagnosis animals, even a licensed vet could not do it with any degree of certainty. You should probably try to find a Avian vet that will take a look at your bird and give her a few test. best of luck!
