Hi Leah! I wanted to ask you if you think my female budgie is "pregnant" or is going to lay an egg very soon. This is her average day: In the morning go inside nest box and wait for male to feed her. In the afternoon: same thing. In the evening : same thing. The male just feeds and preens her. He takes short breaks and eats some seeds and feeds her again. The female rarely comes out. Only to poop and stretch, nothing else. So, do you think that she is going to lay very soon? How can I tell if she is pregnant?

She is probably going to lay very soon.  Have you looked in the nest box lately?  You may have one already. Sometimes it is hard to tell if a budgie is pregnant.  If she seems a bit swollen, she probably is, but some budgies never show any signs of being pregnant.  The eggs just are there one day!
