stupid budgie question!

I recently bought two budgies at the store that were obviously friends. Now I realize that they are a bonded pair.Their playfulness and chirping are a joy,but I really don't want babies. If they do not have a nest box, will this prevent mating?

If you do not have a nest box, they will not raise young. They will likely still mate, but not like they would if a nest box were present. If they do mate, and she does develope and egg inside her, she will lay it off the pirch and it will break at the bottom of the cage before it were to develope a fetis.
