Question
is it possible for a parakeet baby to die inside the egg
its been 20 days since she started to lay the eggs andi candeled them and i picked them up about 4 times and she was kinda rolling them when going in and out of the nest box

could they have died inside the egg
for do i have to wait longer til 20 days

Answer
Yes, it's possible, but I wouldn't get too concerned yet.  Again, do not count from the day she laid the first one, but from when she started incubating.  It takes about 18 days, but can take as long as 21 days in some cases.  Candling the eggs doesn't do them any harm as long as you are careful.  And the rolling the eggs around that the mother does is normal.  She does this to make sure that they are incubated evenly, and that none of her eggs get too cold.

It's unlikely that all of the chicks died in their eggs.  From what you're told me the mother and yourself have taken excellent care of them.  If any of the eggs were dead, the female would have probably tossed them out by now.

Give it another few days before you begin to worry.  Your eggs are probably fine.  By the time you read this, the eggs may have already hatched!
