Question
My bird Bloo, loves a lot of things. She also loves my fingers. She grooms them, and regurgitates on them. I don't want her to get sick because whenever I stick my hand in the cage or at least try to play with her, all she does is love and regurgitate on my fingers! How do I make her not get sick?

Answer
Hi, Hannah,

When your bird regurgitates for/on you, this is the way your bird is showing affection for you.  Your bird is not regurgitating because she is sick (at least, I don't believe she is sick based on the information in your post).  When a pair of birds are pair-bonded, the male will regurgitate to his female in much the same way your bird is regurgitating to you.  This is all perfectly normal.  However, if it sickens you when your bird does this, you can try to get your bird interested in something else right away or do something to try and get your bird's mind on something else.  Otherwise, this is a sign that your bird loves you!
