blackbirds weaning

Question
I rescued a blackbird 5 days ago.  When Rescued the bird it had no real feathers.  I have been feeding it a combination of Hill's Science puppy food, hard boiled egg, oatmeal and I mix vitamins in the mush.  It has starting to make an attempt at waling and I am trying to start thinking about weaning it so that it can be set free.  I am looking for suggestions on the best way to wean.  I have been taking it outside to try to familiarize it to the outdoors.  I have feed it some crickets along with the mush mixture.  It has most of it's feathers now but has not made an attempt at flying.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Young blackbirds are very poor flyers. The best is to give it a safe place to climb to a higher place were it can fall to the ground where it can climb back again up.

It needs to get also the tailfeathers and the rest before it is in balance for flying.
