Adding a lovebird?

Question
I have a lovebird that I bought from a pet store about a year ago -- not handfed.  I am worried that it is lonely and I'm not able to spend time besides talking to it because it becomes VERY skittish when I get close to the cage or open the cage door.  I have read that lovebirds need a lot of attention and I'm concerned that mine is not getting enough close attention.  Is it too late to add another lovebird to the cage?  What do you suggest I do for my lovebird?  Thanks so much!

Answer
Hello, I sugest you get another lovebird, But get another cage you want to keep the cages side by side for a few weeks and let them meet out of there cages for a few times before putting them together. Also when they are introduced into the Same cage you need to be sure that you rearange the cage...move toys/perhces food cups as lovebirds can be very territorial and if the cage is adjusted it will be less likely fighting will take place.
