my cockitale mocha

QUESTION: I have a cokitale that will be 3 on April 20 and lately she has been having a bump around were her crop is and on Saturday it was just starting to get big today i got back from moving my grandma and it has gotten really big and when i got home i filled up her food dishes and changed her water she went and ate then i started making dinner and she went up against the cage and she was sounding all upset and making weird noises with the bump up against the cage, the feathers look like they are kind of thinning around the lump and on it , she has been kind of starting to fall and make weird noises to and she has a cold and the tempeture in the room is the right temp she has a cuddle bone and that pink thing,it cannot be eggs cause she had 4 last month and im waiting for her to abandon them so i dont stress her out,i dont no what i should do.

From the looks of it, your female cockatiel is fine. A bird's crop naturally sticks out, so when you place your finger over it, you will feel a bump. After the bird eats it will stick out even more.

Also, cockatiel behavior can be strange, but the behaviors you see her do are normal.

If however, you notice the bump get even bigger, and her feathers become more thin, I would take her to a vet as soon as you can. I would also suggest you take the bird to a vet as of now though, so if there is a problem with your bird, it can be fixed.
