bUDGIE ON cOCKATIEL EGGS

Hey my cockatiels wont shit prperly so i toke 2 eggs and placed them under a budgie so they will develope wat will happen if they hatch will the budgie feed them with her young... wat do u think will happen thanks... Dave

Hello David and thank you for your post.

To start off, if your cockatiel isn't pooping properly, then she may be egg bound, which without treatment can be fatal to her.  She needs to be seen by a certified Avian Vet right away.
As far as the budgie sitting on the eggs, that is a new one on me, but I do not think the budgie is big enough to be able to keep the eggs warm enough to incubate them.  If they do hatch, the budgie may not be able to produce enough to feed the cockatiels, in which case, you'll need to hand feed these babies.
The first step is to find out why your cockatiel isn't pooping properly, though.
