Cockatiels

Question
I have a mating pair of cockatiels sitting on 3 eggs. The male has gotten so aggressive, I have had to remove him from the cage. Can the female incubate the eggs by herself or should I take the nesting box out eggs and all? I have tried to remove him before for short periods of time but he is still aggressive and is getting worse. I am afraid that if I put him back in the cage, he will kill her. Please let me know what I should do. Thank you very much. Kim Knipp

Answer
Hello,
I would take the male out of the cage and put him in another cage next to the cage with the female and eggs. As long as the room is not cold, the female can incubate the eggs by herself, only leaving to go to the bathroom, get a drink, or eat.
