Questiondear Dianna, thank you for your speedy response
we live in sacramento california no snow just rain and wind do you think some sort of covered shelter like mayebe a big perch with say two or three walls and a roof for protection would be alright for the winter i would never think of clipping his wings and a cage at this point seems unfair i have never owened a bird before unless it was born in captivity and never had a taste of freedom then of course a cage i want to protect him but i dont want to imprison him some good advise would be apprciate again thank for you help Ringo is deffinetly a tame bird gone wild and he seems happy.
AnswerJennifer,
I know what the weather is like there, and although the bird would probably make it through the winter there, I am just concerned about the preditory animals that are out there. A shelter is definately a good idea for Ringo. If Ringo was born in captivity he is lucky to have made it this far.
He is also very lucky to have a friend like you to watch out for him. Please keep me informed on him.
