Question
QUESTION: My cockatiels Nostril was hurt today as he tried to limb down a low perch, he hit his left nostril and it was bleeding from the outside I think. I'm not sure. He is only a month old and he is fine and perfect after it. There is dry blood left, and he is eating and he is perfectly fine. But what should I do?

ANSWER: I would just keep a close eye on it, and take him to a veterinarian if he begins to seem out of sorts in any way.

Blessings,

QUESTION: I also have a question about diseases from cockatiels. Is it easy to get diseases's and illnesess from your pet bird? my wife is paranoid about this. She thinks we can easly get sick from our tiel baby.

Answer
No,it is not easy. There are some bird illnesses that can pass to humans, but they are pretty rare. Keep the cage, feed/water bowls, perches etc. properly cleaned and cared for. Get your birds annual check up done, and take care of it's living environment and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
