BUDGIE BEHAVIOUR

Question
Hi,  I have two budgies one 10 months (female) the other male 6 months I have had them for 2 weeks, I wonder whether you can give me a little advice.  I am new to having budgies, the female never leaves the male alone pecking at him all the time and they seem to be banging their beaks together, is this a form of them getting to know each other, the male just stands his ground and occassionally pecks back, when I let them out for excercise they still stay together and twitter in weird sounds to each other.   The female bobs up an down in front of the male. I hope you can help, I am so curious as to what they are doing Thanks

Answer
They're just fooling around! It's a sort of mating ritual; if the male gets too annoyed he will tell her to stop but if he doesn't then he doesn't mind her doing it. It's like at school when you were little and if a boy pulled a girls hair it meant he likes her :P
They probably just fancy each other :P

Thanks for your question :)
