Coughing Parakeet

Question
Spork, who will turn 6 years old next month, is having episodes of coughing.  The episode will last about 30 seconds or so.  The odd thing is, he seems to be feeling fine otherwise, he plays and talks a lot and is eating normally.  Is he sick?  Any feedback would be appreciated!

Birds have an ability to mask illness, usually by the time you are able to realize they are ill, its very serious. Spork may just have allergies, or he may be ill. I recommend calling your vet, or possibly waiting to see what happens. Sorry I wasn't able to help you more, but I would hate to give the wrong advice and cause someone to lose thier pet :)
