Question
My mother has a two year old bugdie.  It has had symtoms for about 24 hours now.  We don't live in or near a city that would have a bird vet.
Some of the symptoms are, Tail down, tucking beak under wing, not eating or drinking, no pooping, "pecking" at the air, ruffled feathers, laying funny on perch, (not sitting straight).
There are many many seniors at the villa where my mother lives,   the bird has made many a senior happier.  It would be a big loss for many.
Thank You for any suggestions

Answer
Hello Greg and thank you for your post.

Your Mother's little friend has GOT TO GET TO AN Avian Vet ASAP.  It sounds like the bird may be egg bound, and that takes surgery to remove the egg.
Withput treament, the bird is sure to die.  What area are you in?  I will be more than happy to see if I can find an avian Vet near you.

I'm sorry that I am not able to give you better advise or be more help.

Please keep me informed

Good luck and God Bless.
Dianna
