sick male cockatiel

Hi ,

On saturday morning i.e on the 17th i found my male cockatiel (nearly 4 years old)on the cage floor looking all fluffed up.He did climb the top perch few times and slept but kept breathing heavily.Even his tail was moving in an unusual manner.his dropping was yellow and thick but he didnt eat anything since morning,though he looked all fine and was eating the previous night.By afternoon,he passed away.I am not sure what happened to him and there was no good vet here in Pune who can treat birds :(
also the female cockateil had given eggs out of which 2 chicks hatched 2 weeks back.this is the 2nd time chicks have hatched.teh first pair is doing fine and are now 9 months old.But on friday night the 2 chicks made sound as though they were suffocating and both passed away in intervals of 5 min.I dodnt understand what happened to my birds as its 3 years since i had them.

note- even the male cockateil was feeding the babies

Hello,
This is a very hard question to answer, but it seems they are not having a well enough living area. Or a disease could be harming them. I feel horribly sorry for you, but I have no idea what the problem could be. How many birds are you left with just now? Just the female? You always have to make sure you have an avian vet around before you buy a bird. Otherwise, if you ignore that, then you are considered an irresponsible owner.
