Parakeet splayed leg

My two baby parakeet ventured out of their nesting box yesterday. I noticed that both birds both legs are splayed. What can I do? How long can they live this way? They appear healthy with the exception of the deformed legs.

Disabled birds can live a long, healthy life, provided that they are provided with low perches and low, easy to access food and water dishes.  

To prevent this in the future, add more bedding material to your nest.
