my cockatiel is sittig on one egg ,and i have a holiday booked,i have a friend who would come every day to see to them would that be alright as they are in a quiet place with the radio on thamk you

Hello Annie and thank you for your post.
Before you go on your holiday, be sure that your friend knows the routine that you have with your bird, and be sure that your bird knows your friend.  Have the friend come over a couple of times and take care of the bird before you go to help them get adjusted to each other.
Also, be sure to leave emergency contact information with your friend just in case.  In this information should be listed the Certified Avian Vet that you use, name, address, phone number, and directions to the vet's office.  Also have a number of an Emergency Avian Vet in case your regular vet is closed.  Again, the same information should be posted as your regular Avian Vet.
As long as your bird has fresh food and water every day (and some socializing will also be a great thing), she should be fine as long as you are not gone for a long period of time (more than a week might stres your bird).
Remember that she is used to YOU and the way that YOU do things with her.  When you get home, she might be mad at you at first, and this is normal.  It'll take a few days, but she'll get over it (I just thought I'd let you know this so that you are not worried when you return and she is mad at you).
