I have two teils.  Molly is 7 and lestat is almost 1.  He constantly bites her when I try to pet her and he always wants to be near her.  She hisses and flies from him.  Are these two fighing over territory, can they be mates, and if not, should I separate them?

He bites you when you try to pet her? if so this is because he is trying to protect her from your hand, he seems very protective of her if this is the case I'm sure they can be mates, if she hisses and flys away she is probly only reacting to his courtship... if she isnt ready to breed then she will reject him like this., I'd be a little wary of breeding a 7 year old cockatiel thou I think that at that age she'd be more at risk of problems then a hen of proper breeding age(2 years).
