Question
I live in Los Angeles. There is a humming bird sitting on eggs in my Pepper tree. It's supposed to snow here Saturday. (heavily) Will the bird make it? Usually when it snows here, it's gone in a day or two.

Answer
That's hard to know because there are so many factors involved. How cold will it be for how long, what will the winds be, where is the nest located, etc. It is not unusual for early nesting birds to lose their first clutch of eggs; whether the bird itself will make it depends on the factors above plus available food sources. I just checked the LA weather and it doesn't look too bad, but I don't know exactly where you live.
