opening cage door

hi!
i have 5 parakeets and 2 mated. they layed 3 eggs and 2 hatched.since then,when the female and male came out, both of them keeps on trying to open the cage door with their beak. why are they doing that?

When the female and male come out of what...their nesting box??  

If these birds are trying to open up their cage door from inside their cage, they want out!  Not sure why they want out of their cage.  Sometimes parrots who have offspring need to get away from them for a little bit.  Kind of like when we have children and need to get away from them for a while.  You might want to let them out for a few minutes each day in order to allow them some freedom from their babies...if, in fact, this is what they want.  I'm at a disadvantage here because I can't see all that's going on.
