Male LUTINO?

Question
QUESTION: Hey Cynthia, i got my new lutino, supposeably it was a male.
kinda pissing me off. the owner says hes sure its a male, its young he says 6 months? but it looks like female still, shouldnt it have molted into a male now? (its kinda bald still on some areas, yep bald behind the crest like usual)

so remember me telling you about my FEMALE ? well now that i got the new one its louder, and tries to preen the others feathers and chirps a lot. no head bobbing or mating calls.. but could it be a male? or could the new one be a male?

the new one is quiet. really really aggressive. and got patches all over it.

im soo confused and stressed. i really hope one is a male and the other is a female,

btw, my FEMALE is now louder more affectionate, still does its little sex pose but Flirts with the new young one...
could the other be a male? or are all female lutinos or some affectionate towards all other genders of cockatiels?

i can show you pictures.
add me to your email if you got one..
mines dou_vang31@hotmail.com
or message me back on how i can show you pictures of them.

please help... thanks
your the best

ANSWER: Dou,

What do you mean that the new one has patches all over it?

Other than that, if I were you, I'd just wait and see.  The male is really too young to be mated yet; not that he won't mate with a female at 6 months, but he won't be a good parent (at least, that is my experience...I've found the males are better parents at around 18 months and older).

QUESTION: i mean that hes really white with yellow patches all over the tips of his feathers.
hes louder, and more aggressive. he likes to get attention from the other one a lot. he likes to make her groom him or he likes to groom her...

and when he goes into the nest, and shes in there,, he sways back and forth hissing...

yea just wanna know if its a male or not.
no mating.. i think? lmfao... i mean shes getting ready to lay eggs so iono if i should let them mate or not

Answer
Well, behavior-wise, it sounds like a male.  Mutation wise, it sounds like a Lutino-Pearl.  He'll molt out of those "patches" soon.

In my years of breeding, my experience has been that males under 1 year old just don't make good parents.  But there are always those which are an exception.  Maybe yours will be, also.
