Question
my sister had birds. we all moved together to a new state. i fell in love with the birds. in december, one of the green cheeks was killed by a visiting dog. we didn't want the other bird to feel lonely after this happened, so we went to the pet store to get him a buddy. we ended up getting 2. we believe they are a male and female. they got along really well with the older bird, but now, the one we believe is a male bites alot and really hard and if you get near the cage he charges you. he nips at the other two like he is being bossy. how can i get him to stop biting us and the other birds? thank you in advance

Answer
Here are some articles (and links to books) that will help with the biting and aggression you are experiencing with your conure. Did you get him recently? If so, part of the aggression is probably related to fear (since it sounds like he has not been well socialized):

I hope this all helps you learn about your conure's behavior and for the two of you to bond more closely.
