Hey Hey, i was just wondering if u can touch budgie eggs. My female budgie layed an egg today and i was wondering if i can touch it. If i cant will she abandon it because of my smell on her egg?

Hi Frank,

I see no reason why you cannot touch the egg, but why do you need to? You do not however want to cause undo stress to the parents when doing so. Most birds, including budgies have a very poor sense of smell. She cannot smell your scent.
