Question
Hi,  I am setting up a large aviary and would like to house my pair of rainbow lorikeets in it.  Size-wise it is big enough for more birds as well but my question is, can I also put my 2 young hand raised lovebirds and my 2 blue grass parrots in the same aviary along with the rainbows.  I understand they have different dietry needs but if I supply enough food for them all and allow for the dietry differences by putting each others food in diferent areas of the aviary to each other, will they all work okay together in one aviary?

Answer
Anytime you are thinking about caging different species together you really need to speak to a vet or bird behavioralist. Caging different species of bird together can be done, but it can only happen between certain species and in certain environments.

I wouldn't try it before talking closely with someone of that type of certification and know-how. Otherwise I fear you might end up with dead, severely hurt, or malnourished birds.
