or.......
2 feet 6 1/2 tall 1 foot 1 inch length and 11 inches the wight

ANSWER: Hello The Longer the cage the better in building a large and tlal flight for budgies years ago I quickly relized what a waste of money it was because the birds only used the top two feet of my 6 foot cage! I then turned it on its side and sat it on a table. 2 feet Tall 6 feet Long and 2 feet deep is a perfect size for small birds. 11 inches deep is very thing it should be 16-24 inches

QUESTION: im going to raise parakeets should the nest box be in the cage or outside the cage

Answer
Outside makes it easier to get into the nesting boxes and saves space in the cage. Budgies that are Not pets and Not let out of there cage need large cages be sure not to over crowd your cage 3 to 4 pairs would be enough for the cage since you would have lots of baby budgie around the cage before they are fully weaned as well taking up space.
