How much out of cage time should I give my tiels daily?

That's entirely depending on your schedule. There really is no set rule here. I'd not advocate leaving them unattended while you were out of the home, for instance. A change of scenery, time away from the cage, and exercise are all important. I would allow them as much time as possible, keeping in mind that they should have rest time during the day also. Consistancy is the key, really. If you can only afford a couple hours a day, give them that. But, try to give it at a consistant time. Same (or near as close as you can get) time every day. They are happiest when they know what to expect. Most parrots don't like surprises. Even a surprise such as a change in their daily routine.
