QuestionSometimes my girl cocketiel will start yelling, mostly after she has been uncovered and ready for the day. Why? I feed her good and she gets a lot of attention. She is sitting on my should as I write now and she was yelling. She acts nervous as she always likes her head rubbed but she is jittery with that this morning.
Thanks,
Joan
AnswerJoan,
Is there a lot going on in the morning at your house? Is it a time when she gets fed, or extra attention? Birds are creatures of habit. They know when they are going to get fed or going to be let out. Also, if you react to the yelling by letting her out of her cage, then she knows that yelling will get her what she wants.
Thanks for writing!
