Question
Hi, i have a parakeet and i'm planning to give him a separate sleeping cage, so I can put him in my closet and he won't be disturbed.  How big should the sleeping cage be?  his normal cage is 20"x20"x30", and im planning to transfer him to his sleeping cage every night from 11pm to 9am.  since he's not gonna be moving around, can it be just big enough to fit him?  maybe like 8"x8"x8"?

Answer
Hello theres no need for such a cage, you are talking about a parrakeet...also called a Budgie right? I have never in my years but any of my birds in sleeping cages and there are never been a problem yet...I currently have three lovebirds and throw a thorw overthem at night and they quite down and go to sleep...I have alays covered my birds cages and this offers a nice dark place to sleep.
