parakeet laying eggs

Can a female parakeet lay eggs without mating or having a nesting box? I hope
the answer is yes because i love parakeets! Also how old does a parakeet have to
be to lay eggs? Thank U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they can lay eggs and I'm sure they would prefer to sit and lay one in a nesting box, which should be a secluded little place where she can hide!

Parakeets are not really my expert area, but I know that birds like that will come onto a laying cycle every so often and will lay a few eggs in this time. Obviously the egg will not hatch without a male parakeet.

As for how old they have to be, I am not fully sure- that's a question to search on www.google.com !
