I bought 2 cockatiels from a private party and I have had them for about a week  Their wings are clipped and I do let them out of the cage  but  they hiss every time I go by the cage and bite every chance they get  I hav tried talking with them feeding themout of my hand but get bit every time  and they draw blood whem they bite  I have tried wearing gloves and I also have a hard time getting them back into the cage once they are out  what can I do  I also have small children that I dont want them to get bit

Hello Anita.  Thank you for your post.
There is a site that I recommend to a lot of people.  I use the methods on my own birds and the birds that I get into my home with great success.  It will help with your birds' attitudes and biting.
In the mean time, please do keep your small children away from the birds to prevent them from being bitten.
