loud parakeet

Hi Maggie,

I have two young (~1 year old) male parakeets. One of them is very loud and chirps constantly, which drives me and the neughbours crazy. Is there any way/training to make it less loud?

The most typical reason parrots scream is for attention to to show displeasure... usually this is not the case for budgies however.

Unfortunately, this might just be natural noise that your little male budgie is making. However, here are some articles about screaming in birds that will hopefully prove useful for you:
