taming budgie

Hi, I have just bought a budgie and was wondering what the best way of taming it is. He is 7 weeks old.

The only way I have ever amed small parrots is clip tehre wings and take them out of tehre cages three times a day in a spare room like a bedroom ro bathroom where they can nto try get back to there cage, take the bird out sit him on your hand or finger and talk softly to him, try petting him if he backs away or falls off put him back on and do it again, after a week he will be ok with you hadnlnig him or 2 weeks if he is vert flightly.
