I went and checked the avin vet website and i can't find any avian vets in my area? I live in Ottawa Ontario.
Do you know any avain vets?
And who is the vet?

Which avian vet website did you check?  Some websites only list their members, i.e., those who pay dues to belong to that association.

What you need to search for is an exotic animal veterinarian.  This would be a vet who has specialized training in caring for reptiles, birds, etc., etc.  You might also try contacting some local parrot breeders for a reference to an avian vet or perhaps try breeders of reptiles, etc.  Also, a local pet shop who sells parrots might be able to provide a bird vet reference.
