separation anxiety

I have been laid off work for several months. Molly - my cockatiel - sits beside me as I job search on the computer. When I get up to leave - she yells on till I come back and sit beside her. It's getting way out of hand! HELP!!

You are Molly's companion; you are her flock.  When a bird is separated from its flock in the wild, it yells to keep in touch.  It's a way of saying, "Marco!  Polo!"  So, just let her know where you are and that you'll be back soon, or take her with you!
