Questionhi! i have a lonely keet. i gave him 1 toy but he did not play with them. i go to school so i cant play with him all the time.i also don't want to buy him another one.
AnswerHi again, Katelyn.
First of all, your keet might be a bit depressed because of all that's going on. Give him some time to adjust. Also, you need to provide more than 1 type of toy. Also, perhaps your keet doesn't like the toy you've provided. Keets love swings and toys they can climb on/in/through/around.
I don't believe it's how much time you spend with your bird(s), but the quality of the time you spend with your bird(s) when you do have time to spend with them.
Your keets can be housed together when they aren't breeding. It's when they are breeding that you need to separate the pair from the single bird. In addition, you can house them in separate cages next to each other, and let them out together, so the single keet doesn't get too lonely.
