i woke up one night to find my parakeet bleeding from the beak, i think it might be letting up but theres blood spatters around his cage and one on my wall, should i be worried he has lost too much blood?

Hi, Gabrielle.

If your bird is still alive, then nothing to worry about.  If your bird had lost too much blood when it bled that night, it would have died then.  A keet has maybe 1 teaspoon of blood in its entire body.  They can loose too much blood quickly.  What you need to determine is why your bird was bleeding from its beak and whether some health problem still exists or whether this was an injury.  You'd have to take your bird to a certified avian veterinarian for this medical evaluation and/or determine if any injury still exists that might need to be taken care of.  If this was an injury from something in the cage, you'll need to fix the cage problem.  If this bird had night frights and injured its beak from slamming into something in the cage as a result of being scared, I recommend you keep a night light on at night for your bird.
