Question
i thought my bird had calcification build up on one leg.  I have been giving it usual treatments of warm water with baking soda and then putting jelly afterwards.  It doesn't seem to be clearing up and now it is discolored and leaking some fluid.  Is this normal, should I keep on with the treatments.

Hello Lilly and thank you for your post.
STOP these treatments and get your bird into a Certified Avian or Exotic Animal Vet right away.  Not a vet for dogs and cats, but one for birds.
Your little friend has a bad infection, and this can travel very fast through his tiny system and be fatal.
He may need an injection of antibiotics, but please do not hesitate getting him in to see a vet.
