Question
hi im just about to start to incubate 12 quail eggs, its my first time using an incubator how often do you need to feed the babies when they hatch and how long does it take to ween them off this baby food?i have cockateils, lovebirds and budgies.
the reason in using an incubator is mainly my cocketils are have trouble completly hatching babies on there own, they have lost all there eggs over 2 years,i get a couple of babies but when there hatching from there eggs they only crack small hole in egg and then die inside.
i have lost 14 eggs this month from lovebirds and cocketiels so im going to try to incubate there egg when they lay more.
 many thanks      boycie28...

Answer
Hello you don't need to feed baby quail like baby parrots they hatch out fully feathered and able to see, leaving a quail mash down for them and a shallow dish with marbles in it containing water(the marbles make sure the birds get out and don't drown) and they should be just fine.
