zebra finches

i am handrearing 2 zebra finches.The mum ignored them from day 1 they are about 12 and 13 days old but they eyes are not opening when do they usually open there eyes

in another day or two if the eyes have not opened you may want to lightly apply warm compresses for a minute or two during feedings but in my experiance most small birds open there eyes at ten to 14 days so if you think they shhould really be open in the next two days and they arent try the compresses or better yet vtake them in to the vets he should be able to offer ointment to put on the eye lids to help them open, but wait a few more days first they may well open by theselfs soon, best of luck with the chicks.
