QuestionHi,
In the past, I have kept a few small birds. At that time, I couldn't afford any expensive birds, but now, since I can, I want to get one bird. I am ready to take very good care of it and any sizes or types will work.
I was wondering which birds are the best "pet" birds? I have kept many varieties of small birds, but none recognized me and always tried to fly away. I want a bird that can actually recognize me and will come to me. I have read several bird training book, so i want a smart bird that will actually learn some things. Also, can birds be potty trained?
thanks for your time,
alex
AnswerCockatiels, lovebirds, budgies, quaker parrakeets, ring neck parrakeet, contures, african greys/ amozons, cockatoos, parrotlets, all smart birds and if handfed(handfed from a few weeks odl by the breeder) will make wonderful pets my handfed lovebird is very responsive and is jsut like a little feathered person. I onyl wish I knew how to potty train birds lol...sorry
