Question
Hi.
I have a year old female, she is aloud to fly freely in the frontroom, she swoops down and trys to attack us most of the time it when we are eating something.  Why is this and is there anything we can do to stop her.
Thanks Miss Hallam

Answer
Hi Miss Hallam,

If your budgie attacks you when you are eating, it probably wants food. If it is possible you should try to leave her in her cage while you eat. Try bonding with your bird by whistling, talking, and even being around your bird. It will eventually learn to trust you. I must warn you though, our budgie took about two year before it trusted us. I hope I helped!
