my bird laid an egg..but has no mate.

Hi,
my female peach faced creamino lovebird who is a little over a year old just laid an egg in the bottom of her cage under her food dish..but she has no mate. Now im curious as to see if it is fertilized or not..and im not to sure what to do seeing as it is her first egg and shes my first bird. could you help me please?

Hello they egg is Not fertilized as you said she has no mate without a mate the egg can never be fertilized. Leave the egg(s) with her until she has been ignoring them for several days removing them before this will cause her to lay more which is draining on her body and can cause egg binding.
