aggressive male cockatiel

My male has become aggressive to my pregnant hen. He will no longer allow her near the breeding box after day 2. The introduction went smoothly. Do I separate him & allow her to enter the box without him? He is fine with her otherwise. He only becomes aggressive near the box. Please help!   Thank you

First, I'm sorry that it took me so long to answer your question.  I had a series of family issues which took me away from the computer for a while.

Well, by now, your female should have laid some of her eggs in the nestbox.  A male will normally prepare the nest for his mate, and during that time, he can actually become a little aggressive to her.  Unless he is physically hurting her, you should not separate the male and female.
