balck capped conure wanted

i am having trouble finding another black capped conure to keep my two year old company.  any suggestions about where to get a very healthy happy bird.

Hi Karen,

I would recommend searching for a local bird club. Many bird club members are also breeders, and you can ask around at meetings, or post an ad in the newsletter, stating that you are looking for a black-capped conure.

Just remember, that your current black capped conure might not appreciate a new comer, and they might never get along. So only get a second bird if you have the space, time, money, and energy to care for two birds in separate cages. (but keep your fingers crossed that with a proper quarantine, followed by a slow introduction, that the two birds will get along and eventually be able to live with one another).

You could also check your local paper for advertisements and call people with hand-fed conure chicks, to see if they also breed black caps, or know anyone else who does.
