Question
I recently started hand feeding a baby budgie that the parents werent feeding.  It has been 4 or 5 days and he has not grown at all.....he seems just a little stronger but not much.....is there any hope for this little guy?

Answer
Hi Kate, well as long as hes being kept warm and is in a slighty moist invroment as to not dry out, he should be fine, I'd like to ad that he needs to be fed every two hours around the clock... maybe you've missed a few feedings? I know it sounds like a lot but I did it with my wo babies and they turned out great.... mind you you will feel dead for awahile beauseof being up every two hours flat but once hes a little older its every three hours then every four so its not sobad and there will be a longer peroid it can go at night without foo,d be sure to feed him properly mixed fresh handfeeding formula and not rewarmed stuff or baby food it will make him sick, he needs his face wiped off afterwards as well, and while were on the subject be sure not to overfeed him... he will genraly eat until he bursts so give him a good dime/nickle sized crop full of food each time until he gets biger.
