Question -
I brought my 6 week old hand fed/tamed lovebird home a coupla days ago....In the same room as her cage is in...are 3 cages with birds in them...one has a budgie....one has a cockatiel....and one has a wild pair of blue masked lovebirds....
Will my baby look at the lovebirds and understand that she's one of them and have an affinity for them?
I keep thinking she's trying to fly (even though her wings are clipped) over in their direction!
I want her to stay tame and true to me!
I'll move the lovebird cage to a different room ..if you think there's a possibility that she will (somehow) bond to them.....

Answer -
Hello Maureen and thank you for your questions,

Yes being around other lovebird would make her want to see them/talk to them and cuddle with them moving her to another room would be a good idea to avoid her going to tehre cage everytime you take her out.

This is a follow-up to the follow up!
Just to clarify...would this be the same if the other birds in the room  (with the same baby lovebird) were different..like a budgie and/or a cockatiel?

THANKS again!

Answer
Hello again Maureen,

Yes I think having coaktiels/budgies or just other birds in genral in the same room or area should not make the lovebird go 'untame', Hearing other lovebirdsin hte house but not seing them wont untame the lovebird but he will try get to where the sound is coming from... I lived with my sister I had  parent raised handtamed female cockatiel... very firendly for a parent raised bird and she had a pervisuly handfed now evil male(never kept taking him out because she got a cat) and they would squak back and forth to each other all the time.... it was ear piercing!   And no problme thats what I'm hear for if you need more help with anything don't hesitate to ask.
