another cockateil

I was wondering if I should get another cockatiel. school is starting soon and I have read that if you can't be home all day that you should have two cockatiels instead of one. can you give me some pros and cons of getting another cockatiel?

Hello Gretchen,

Yes it would be a great idea to get another cockatiel for your other to be friends with. Cockatiels addapt to change much quciker than most other birds. When we were busy I got another cockatiel for the one i origonally had, and it worked out great. If you do this, your origonal cockatiel might seem in a bad mood towards you, but this won't last long. Please let me know if you have any more questions for me. Hope I helped.
